If you google "dollar cost averaging (DCA) vs lump sum (LS)", you can find many research showing that lump sum investing outperform DCA. You can find one of the articles below.

This depends on total relative fees for these transactions, both is possible. cost averaging with 4 investment time points over 1 - 2 years seems prudent
