Is 110% returns in my stock portfolio in 1.2 years a good benchmark or should I be aiming higher?

I achieved 110% returns in my stock portfolio in 1.2 years from end 2019 to jan 2021. Is that a good benchmark or should I be aiming higher? Thank you.

That is an extraordinary return number overall.

But return is just one aspect of portfolio measurement. Hope you value other aspect just as important as return (volatility, max drawdown, VaR, etc) and conduct proper attribution analysis (like evaluation, are you just lucky or pro stock picker).

About aiming higher, you may consider the leverage (borrow to invest) / short selling / use derivatives if you have high conviction. No one knows your limit of risk tolerance other than you.

Best wishes for 2021, I hope you can deliver stellar 3 digits return consistently!
