In your opinion, when is the ideal age to start planning for retirement? If I am in my 20s, when I'm not even financially stable yet, planning for retirement seems to be too far-fetched. Thoughts?

If you can choose, what would be the ideal age to start planning for retirement?

I would say after you graduate and start earning an income, cause that is when u can start doing budgeting etc. See if you wanna buy endowment or retirement plan, basically all these need money to pay the premium

Ideal age? As early as possible, whatā€™s stopping you from starting early? For most people itā€™s the lack of financial literacy, given that youā€™re here you are probably ahead of most people already.

One does not necessarily have to be ā€œfinancially stableā€ to start planning. Planning for retirement can include simple things like having an emergency fund parked in a high interest savings account, sorting out your genuine insurance needs or even putting $100/ month in a robo.

Unless you are laden with a mountain of high interest debt, or not drawing any income at all itā€™s never too early to start. Due to the magic of compounding, the earlier you start the ā€œeasierā€ it gets to reach your goal.
