I will choose Syfe as I did Daly this year , so far so good

Firstly, how long do you NOT need these cash? That determines whether you want to go 10K with Singlife (just 1% pa, very short horizon) or not. If you have more time (and this depends on what is the concept of "more"), then I always suggest you just invest maybe 15K into a good Singapore REIT. Majority of SG Reits (SG focus, do not think if US, China focus reits for now), provides at least 5% pa with very little risks. It is also easy to liquidate giving you cash within just a few days. I don't like funds because the fees and commissions always ruin the returns. REITs gives you a 100% tax free income that has no tie in or fees - except when you buy in or sell but that's taken by the stock brokerage & SGX/CDP. It's a one time one off fee that is clear open and transparent.

Hi,

  • Singlife only offers 1% interest up to $10K
  • I would instead consider putting it in Endowus CashSmart's Ultra portfolio for 1.9-2.1% gains instead
