If I were to purchase 4 CSPX shares now, may I know how are the dividends calculated and how does the repurchase process happen?

CSPX is an accumulating one. Distributions of each quarter after taxes will be calculated into the net asset value automatically, which leads secondarily to an almost according price increase of the ETF. You will not receive any individualized notifications from iShares or Your broker.
