If I switch credit cards from the same bank (with some overlap in time which I held both cards), does it affect my credit age? Is credit age tied to the bank or the card?

Not sure if credit age matter compared to US. I had to cancel my oldest card as they didn't let me waive the annual fees and does not seem to impact credit score much
