If I have underperformed in my current job and received negative comments on my work performance, who can I indicate as my 'references' for new job application?

Who else can I indicate as my 'references' for new job application?

Ideally it is more credible to have your superior (supervisor/manager/director) as reference. If not, your fellow colleagues whom you have worked with you will also be able to help provide good reviews on your contributions. It is just not as impactful.

But of course if you underperform and did not get along with anyone then you have burnt all bridges and it will be tough. People trust reviews (that's why people are here on seedly).

Nontheless I wish you the best and may you find a new job in a place where you can start afresh and do well in.

Hmm.. usually don't need references for job applications.. unless you're already at the final round, then usually reference checks are performed to make sure there are no red-flags before a job offer. If need references for job application ah, might want to dig into the company again. Anyway, usually we don't put references from current job. You wouldn't want your manager or colleagues to know that you're job-searching haha.

For a shorter answer, you can always have your peers for references. If your reasons for underperfor...
