I've stopped working since I had my last child 16 years ago. I'm a housewife. I am in my mid-50s now, would like to get a job to earn some cash but am scared as I'm not good with tech. Please help?
I used to earn a high income and was a career woman before I stopped working to look after my child. I don't know how to use the computer and that stresses me out when I go for job interviews now because knowing how to use the computer is a basic necessity. I have applied for computer courses but have been put on-hold now since COVID-19 happened. I could take up other jobs that are less skill-heavy like an admin role, but the salary won't be as high and that's not what I want. What should I do?
There are many schemes available NOW and very very substantial subsidies for 40 year old Singaporeans. If you have reached a stage where you are able to commit to 9-6pm workdays, then i would suggest taking a look at those schemes where employers are heavily subsidized to take you on and train you.
What was your previous occupation? With your experience, it shouldnt be a problem however u should lower your expectation on getting high income as you have not worked for 16 years.
you have computer at home? u can practice computer skills at home. those basics presentation slides...
