I've onboarded Endowus but they require me to go through a a huge series of tests in order to start investing as I do not possess a financial education certificate. Is this typical?

This is quite a tedious process, to learn and pass the quizzes -13/15 score to pass. Is there any way to bypass it? Honestly it's such a high friction point for me.

Hi Chermaine, the quizzes are meant to protect you and add knowledge when investing into unit trusts. The quizzes aren't difficult at all. You just have to follow the guided tutorial and answer the questions that follow.

It is quite straightforward. You just need about 15mins or so to complete it. So far, Endowus returns have been great beating the CPF OA 2.5% for me. Furthermore, they are the only robo-advisor for CPF funds.

Worth the effort to clear the quiz.

Endowus invests in unit trusts, which are classified as unlisted Specified Investment Products (SIPs) and MAS required financial institutions like Endowus to assess investor's investment knowledge and experience before letting them invest in such products. You can't bypass it.
