I'm trying to convince my wife to invest our funds in Bitcoin as I heard it will rise to $100k next year. Any advice?

Do you believe in Bitcoin personally? Do you or would you invest

Hi Anon,

I personally believe in bitcoin as a store of value, and not as a currency. I think the current limitations of the blockchain will prevent it from being a mainstream currency. I've explained the problems in my opinion piece here: https://seedly.sg/opinions/bitcoin-is-hot-again...

I would buy bitcoin the next big dip, assigning less than 1% of my portfolio to it.

You should discuss with your wife how the two of you want to invest your monies. Even as a couple your investment philosophy may differ from hers and it is important that you both can see where the other is coming from and come to a compromise.

I am still unsure about Bitcoin as I haven't read up a lot on it yet, and I feel no rush to since I have a core portfolio, so I don't have investments in Bitcoin. That being said, saying that you heard it will rise to 100k next year is not a very convincing argument to make.
