Seedly Student Ambassador 2021/22 at Seedly
Hi Darren, bumping this so I can know more as well.
β
I'm an engineering student myself as well and finance isn't really part of my schooling life, so yeah definitely would like to know more.
β
From my limited knowledge, Student Ambassadors get to contribute to the community a lot more by writing their own opinion pieces and also hosting a SeedlyTV episode. There's also tickets to Seedly's PFF!
β
Would love to hear more from the real Ambassadors though!

Hello. Arman is right, we contribute to the community by writing opinion pieces and hosting a SeedlyTV episode.
β
In terms of learning, I felt that I've benefited from the program. As we are more accountable for the things we say, it made me vet through my answers/opinions more thoroughly such as by questioning my assumptions about certain topics, which allowed me to also learn more about them.
β
Additionally, it encouraged me to be more outspoken, and as an introvert, I benefited from this exposure. You will also get to know students who may come from different backgrounds - some are crypto enthusiasts, some prefer the Boglehead approach. I personally changed my perception of cryptos after I spoke to one of them about it.
β
Additionally, there isn't a requirement that you should be studying for a finance-related degree to participate in this program. I am a software engineer myself. Ultimately, if this program interests you, go for it! It is also a great way to market yourself especially if you're interested in working in fintech companies.
