I'm a property investor and buy properties for it to be rented. With prices so low, is it time to buy a home in Sentosa? Good time to buy?

Not sure if we will ever get a price like that now in the future...

Prices are currently at similar levels to 2006; but that alone doesn't qualify the properties as good investments. Sentosa properties are all leasehold, for starters, so do keep an eye on lease decay issues.

Also, rental and gains on Sentosa are heavily dependent on the influx of foreigners - they're what pushes prices up in this area, as Sentosa Cove is the one place foreigners can buy landed homes. However, with the ABSD currently at 20 per cent for foreigners and Covid-19 raging, this would be a very optimistic expectation.
