I'm 28 yo, working for 4 years. I talked to a 26 yo colleague who knew a lot of different cultures and countries because of travelling and has so many creative ideas. I can't seem to catch up.

I have been frugal since my JC days, never gone for exchange or grad trips because I saw them as luxuries. However, it feels like I missed out on a lot of things by keeping my head down and just focusing on working and saving. I kind of regret hearing so many stories of someone younger than I am.

Work life balance is important too, dont ignore the flowers along the way while chasing your dreams

I think its normal to "regret" about things in general - i "regret" bout not studying more, picking my major, not leaving my job when i dont like it at the start... etc etc... but most importantly i feel, you shld just think about what you like (if understanding cultures interest you, you can always read up, travel, etc or just learn from him/ her).

It's easy to see what we have missed. Maybe we can see it from another angle and look at the things you did manage to do instead? For example, reaching your savings goals.

Like what others mentioned, you can always start making travel plans now! It depends on what your priorities are, and how you'd like to strike a balance.

What's important is that you make the choices for yourself - not because you want to have what others have.

Grass is always greener on the other side, maybe or maybe not. slowly see where life takes you, look internally and grow. jia you.

Just travel and enjoy life. There is no point working hard....
