I have been working in the vendor side for past 12 years and I am now looking to join the client side. What are the things to take note?

I was from vendor side too for the past 6 years. I would say it would be better if you have a lead experience during your stay.

Once you join client side, mostly you will be doing much less technical stuffs unless if the client wants to have a separate technical role.

You are not alone, I see other people doing this switch as well. if you are picking up a job at the client's side dealing with external vendors, you could use your past experience to manage both sides better, as you know what vendor is looking for and it is easier for you to start the coversation. I'm representing vendor, also find it easier to deal with someone from client side who has vendor experience. Make this experience as a selling point of yourself.
