I have an inheritance of 150k sitting in a time deposit account. Any advice on whether i should take this money and invest in S&P 500?

I don’t really know what to do with this amount of money because i have done my own financial planning without considering that amount.

Currently have my own savings, insurance, and investments in robo advisors.

So i guess mainly my thought it should i let it sit there til a future need arises or is there a way to make it work harder with low risks?

You can either put into Robo, or

just buy a portfolio of sg dividend stocks/reits, collect the dividends to cover basic expenses, any capital gains is just bonus. At 5% dividend yield, thats an extra annual $7.5K, $625/month of spare cash

Have u save up for wedding/BTO/kid? If No. $100k would be enough. Your own savings just continue to keep it. Coz $100k will probably mostly wipe out (disappear slowly) when u start a family.

The rest of $50k into the market.
