I come from a relatively well-to-do family, and recently I've been getting to know this girl who is not well-to-do, and we may end up together because I really like her.

How do I know she's not in this for the money? Her family stays in a 2-room flat while mine stays at 6th Avenue. That's the gap we have now.

Get a prenup if seriously getting into marriage lor. Or else it's just dating right, then spend within limits lah. It's not like she's expecting fine dining and lavish gifts everytime you both go dating right?

On the contrary, how she know if you're not after her looks and body? You might be the one wasting her resources.

It's natural to be concerned about whether or not someone is interested in you for your money, especially if there is a significant difference in your financial backgrounds. However, it's important to remember that people are individuals with their own motivations and desires. Just because someone comes from a different financial background than you doesn't mean that they are only interested in you for your money.

There are a few things you can do to try to determine whether or not someone is interested in you for the right reasons. First, pay attention to how they talk about money and your financial differences. Do they seem genuinely interested in getting to know you and your life, or do they frequently bring up your financial situation and make comments about it? If they seem more focused on the financial aspects of your relationship, it may be a red flag.

Another thing you can do is to spend time with the person and get to know them better. By getting to know them on a deeper level and spending time together in a variety of settings, you can get a better sense of who they are and what they value. This can help you determine whether or not they are interested in you for the right reasons.

Ultimately, trust your instincts and don't be afraid to have open and honest conversations about your concerns. If you have a feeling that someone may be interested in you for the wrong reasons, it's important to communicate that and to address it directly. By being open and honest, you can establish a foundation of trust and understanding in your relationship.
