HSBC Wealth Management

Any advice on what are some of the best wealth management services to consider in Singapore for a person with a capital of S$0.5M? Before jumping into conclusions about me -- This is for a friend (who isn't only Seedly) and asked for my advice!!. In particular, how good or bad is HSBC Wealth Management services? (kind of zeroed in on that because of the comfort of a bank). Haven't heard many great things about DBS Treasures and Citi seems to be going to another bank soon??. Any other ideas to consider (no robo advisors).

I feel these services are mainly for those perks more than them able to invest effectively for you since they are commission based, their interest actually is opposite to really helping you grow your money.

So investment is actually the better way to grow the money and these wealth services is more for getting perks like express queue, RM to help you in money withdrawal, no brokerage fees (think still available for stand chart), lounge services for beverage (slowly lesser due to expenses and COVID).

What she can do is look out for promo as some banks give out promo for depositing with them e.g. give money if they become premium banking customer for 6 months.
