I received a call from someone who said they're a wealth manager at DBS, requesting to meet me at a DBS branch to discuss how I can manage my money/invest it better. Is this legit?

This person had my correct name, email address, the last 4 digits of my bank account number, as well as my residential address. I want to believe it isn't a scam, but just wanted to be sure. In case it helps, the call was from 6878 9188.

If you ask me, these legit things banks are asking you to buy are frauds themselves

I used an application to track the caller Id. It did shows it is from a dbs hotline

It does sound legit if they have your personal particulars and asked to meet you at the DBS branch.

From my person experience, I have received repeated called from someone who says they are from DBS but a voice that's seemingly PRC comes on and when I request if they have someone that can speak English, they don't. Felt fishy and raised some red flags.

MAS website has a search portal that can filter for the RNF code and the agent number to verify the agent is indeed from dbs

If the person can request to meet you at DBS instead of other places such as Starbucks , most likely...
