Hi Lek H.S.,
CareShield Life is an insurance scheme administered directly by the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board and Agency for Integrated Care (AIC).
Eligible persons will be notified by the government and enrolment is automatic, hence no action is required. While there isn’t a specific insurance company running the CareShield Life scheme, individuals can purchase a supplemental plan (to give your CareShield Life coverage a boost) from any one of the 3 appointed insurers, including Great Eastern.
To learn more about Great Eastern’s GREAT CareShield, visit our Seedly page at https://seedly.sg/reviews/disability-insurance/.... Or, speak with us to discuss your options (click “Apply Now” on our Seedly page).
Hope this information helps!

Hi H.S,
Careshield Life is a national scheme administered by the CPF board and agency for integrated care.
It is not by any private insurer.
Only the private supplement plans are administered by a private insurer. These plans aim to provide additional payouts on top of Careshield Life in the event of severe disability. There are three insurers who provide supplement plans, namely Aviva, NTUC Income and Great Eastern.
Seedly has done a comparison on the supplementary plans here which you may find useful: https://blog.seedly.sg/careshield-life-suppleme...
If you wish to get the supplement plan, once it is incepted, you will be able to see the insurer listed in your CPF home page, under 'My Messages' - Healthcare.
