How to close an IBKR account? What are the procedures involved?

Have finally decided to close my ibkr account while i slowly sell all my stocks and transfer funds back to my bank a/c. Seems like a nightmare to close the account and i've to keep emailing ib for clarification. Anyone in the same situation?

You need to contact customer support in order to close your account. Alternatively, you can empty out your account with zero balance inside, and they won't charge you any fees.
