What is the rough percentage of my salary/amount that I should be keeping as emergency funds?

Typcially around 6 months of your monthly expenses to tide you over an 'emergency' period before being able to receive a regular income stream from your salary again.

There are various suggestions on emergency funds. The most common being 3 to 6 months worth of your expenses.
If you would like to be conservative, you can extend it to 12 months, or even more conservative, use salary instead of expenses.

Cube of your age or 12 mths expenses whichever is higher. This is wat I used for myself.
