Money Smart has done an analysis on the cost of living in Singapore. There's a table at the bottom detailing the costs for cheap-skate, mid-range and high-end living. To me living comfortably now mid-range can already which is about 2.5k a month. High-end living will cost about 9.7k, which is the luxurious lifestyle. With inflation, will probably need about 5K per month to live comfortably.

As of today, a 5k per month would be good enough for you to live a comforable life. however in the future things might change due to inflation etc etc.

It really depends on the individual. If you are single, probably $1 million is sufficient. However, if you are married without kids, probably $2 million is then sufficient. Of course, more money (more than $2 million) if you are married with kids. There is no standard answer. It really boils down to individual needs.
