How much budget do you set aside for home renovations?

Just wanted to get a rough gage from the community how much is typically spent? Assuming it's a HDB BTO, or redoing the whole HDB Resale flat. If a gage is needed maybe 4 room? Or feel free to just share your personal experience! Thank you very much!

5 rm $40k more than enough. Bare BTO.
No need to accept all ID recommendation.
Some can source yourself.
Some ID will cut corner. Every saving they made, is their profit.
