How much is a reasonable amount to set aside for home reno?

Assuming it's a 4 RM HDB BTO, or redoing the whole HDB Resale flat. Feel free to just share your personal experience! Thank you very much!

Hello, do consider using the Qanvast calculator to get a rough estimate on how much you can expect to spend. It may not be completely accurate but it gives you something to work with. Qanvast also has a list of projects you can look at so that you can get a rough idea of how much you can expect to pay for different budgets.

Generally, it depends on what you're looking to do but I think the average is $53,000 for a relatively new 4rm flat. For older flats, you can expect the price to be higher. Do note that the renovation does not include your furniture so you might want to take that into account as well.

I spend less than $35k (including furnitures & aircon) 5rm BTO. But thats 5 years ago. Sold.

Just do the wardrobes, kitchen, ceiling, flooring and TV console. Furnitures & lightings either from JB or ikea, nice & cheap.

Black & white, minimalist theme. As long the house color looks uniform and tidy, it will look nice.
