According to SQ Award Chart, it takes 92k miles for a one-way ticket to Europe, making it 184K miles for a return, 368K miles for 2 persons return.
Using the various earn rates available in the market, the maths as follows for 2 persons Europe return.
1) 1.2mpd (Citi Premiermiles, DBS Altitude, OCBC 90N): $306,666.66
2) 1.5mpd (BOC Elitemiles): $245,333.33
3) 3mpd: $122,666.66
4) 4mpd: $92,000
The trick is to always get the most mpd whenever you use a credit card. Different cards maximise the mpd you get in different categories so it would be wise to develop a portfoilo of cards to cover as many areas as possible. Miles game requires work but the rewards is definitely worth it.
Cheers
