How does the Visa system work with US currency when buying items from a US store online?

Hi, I'm about to take my 1st step into buying some items from a US store online (Anson Belt), problem is, I unsure how the Visa system work with US currency, cos the price is in USD, but I'm using SGD Visa debit card, so I unsure about things like do I need to pay for the currency exchange rate, or they just convert the cost into SGD then deduct from my account?

I tried before paying something online that is denominated in GBP using a OCBC Frank Debit Card. So basically you will be charged in SGD based on their own exchange rate of USD:SGD. So you need to ensure that you have set aside sufficient bank spread charges so that the payment is successful.
