Think with so many suggestions and explanations, you would have some basic idea of how to start investing. But if you really want a crash course or a fast track to understanding investments, signing up for an investment course is recommended. But do be careful of the overhyped and unrealistic promises of some courses. The more reputable ones are Dr Wealth and Fifth Person. SGX also offers free/affordable basic lessons for beginners :)

just one first suggestion: avoid mutual funds/unit trusts, they are on average underperformers and have high fees. For beginners and also experts, with a longterm investing horizon of more than 10 years global passive indexing are the better choice.

Hi Anon, you're already at a great starting place in this community. There are tons of blogs, books, even courses in how to invest by yourself.

Alternatively, you can hire a financial advisor to build a globally diversified portfolio that matches your risk profile and set up a regular savings plan to keep you invested regularly.

Either way, only make sure you invest in something you understand, and make sure you're diversified and disciplined. Also, do make sure you have your emergency fund set aside as well. :)
