Have specific financial goals in mind and be very clear about why those amounts. Example, I just transferred $6k to my daughter's CDA account. That's it. I hit my quota for this year liaoz. Of course money not enough but that's next year's problem haha

I really liked the thoughts presented in the book, "The Psychology of Money", by Morgan Housel. I have decided to keep 12 months of emergency funds as it gives me a lot more confidence, especially considering that I'm nearing 50 years. The author touches upon these and related aspects. Hopefully, it will also give you some perspectives and ideas about your own attitude to money.

Don't understand how one can ever over prepare / over plan.
Worries does not add length to our life. But it takes away the only joy/hope in us. Nothing is predictable, we don't even know we can last till tmr, can you? But that doesn't mean we need to worry or can skip planning - for self and those we loved.
One should have an appreciative mindset - whether have enough or little still appreciative to the One who has provided.
