Yeaps. Same concept. And do get a good exchange as some exchanges do face issues when there's high volatility. I recommend Gemini

Crypto is an alternative asset which has some similar traits like digital cash (value controlled by printing/burning) or gold (limited supply), depends on what crypto coin you are prospecting.
