Just registered for my IBKR account but wanted to fund fund account to speed up the verification process.
Was wondering how do I do this, and how long does it take? Also, is there any transaction fees to deposit or fund your account?
I would also like to know how do I check if my account is the LITE version?

Hey Dylan! Glad to hear that you've join the IBKR platform. (Nope I'm not a staff there but just another user). You can transfer the fund via wire transfer. They will provide you with a local Citibank account where you can FAST transfer in. The process takes less than a day, normally I will do it at night and the funds will be in the next morning.
There is a transaction fee of around 1 or 2% cannot remember the exact amount but is really low. When the funds are in, it will be SGD and you have to convert it to USD or HKD or other currency, depending on which equity you're looking at. Their exchange rate is also very good as compared to all your multi-currency card.
The account should already be stated when you first sign up. I would say it should be a "Pro" version for all cases. You can find it on their online web portal, or Trader Station or the app. It's in your profile.
All the best!

Hi Dylan, great that you are begining to use IBKR. I'm a fairly new user myself as well, and must say I haven't had any issue so far.
For a thorough step by step explanation on funds tranfer, I was referring to this website as a guide which I thought could be useful for you as well: https://inquirerdesilentio.wordpress.com/2017/0...
Personally the funds take up to 1 day to be credited, do not quote me on this but it should be 1 business day or so. Fairly quick as Zachary shared too.
Unfortunately, IBKR Lite is currently only available to US customers. But hope it is offered in Singapore eventually. Hope this helps!
