How do you tell parents who want a big wedding, that you dont want a big wedding

You can say to your parents that you guys appreciate, but a big wedding just isn’t your style. It’s awkward for a moment, sure, but by staying calm and clear about what you want, they start to understand. You stick to your vision, and slowly, the idea of a big wedding stops feeling like the only option
