Am looking to start my own company, and I'm pretty sure that I have a good product that will help solve certain problems in the market I'm looking at. However, how can I be sure that this will work? Looking for some advice, considering how Seedly and Shopback are both startups! What other considerations should I have?

You can do a survey with your target audience to find out if they like your idea. You can consult professional bodies and talk to them about your idea.

You need to do a market research. Is there a modern example similar to your business idea?
