You could create a manual cash account and input the amount. Just set the account to be part of the asset summary report so that the system takes into account that expense.

Hey Bernard, see the steps below
1) Click on "+ Add Transaction" on the Home page
2) Select the Insurance category, it's on the 3rd row from the bottom, 3 column
3) Key in the amount of premium you paid
4) Write a description (optional)
5) Select the date, whether the transaction took place today, yesterday or custom (any date before yesterday)
6) Select account, whether is it from your savings account via GIRO or debit/credit card
Alternatively, you can go to the Accounts tab, choose the Account to add the expense to.
