How do i tell my manager i want to quit the job

In general, not much point in quitting rudely! Just grab a coffee and lay out your thoughts. Maybe your manager can point out some flaws in your thinking as well.

Explain the reasons why you think this industry isn't the right job fit for you and how you feel like a square in a round peg. Schedule a face-to-face meeting to do it properly.

don't worry, your manager probably has other important things crowding his mind than your intention to resign. He may ask you to hang in there due to manpower crunch, that's what the face-to-face meeting is for: kickstart an exit plan. But I doubt he will take it personally
