As for myself, I started off by Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) into the STI ETF, which basically means I invest a set amount of cash into the top 30 companies of Singapore every month. You can do this through FSMone's Regular Savings Plan (RSP)!
I've just recently ventured out into investing in the S&P 500 (top 500 companies of US) to further diversify my portfolio.
Take your time, read up, and don't rush into investing too fast without properly educating yourself a little first. Good luck and have fun!
