How do I get started on investing? I’m a complete beginner & have been doing some research but there’s a lot of different views and opinions on what to invest in and what platform to use.

I’m still a student and want to get a head start in investing for my future! Any advice would be welcomed 👍🏻

Hi Anon,

Personally, I think the best way is to start off with roboadvisors. This will provide you with the exposure to the market which helps you to make sense of all the articles/videos you came across online about investment. I think investment is like swimming, where you can start to make sense of the theory taught only after you gotten yourself into the pool.

After which, you can try to see which "swimming stroke" you will wish to specialise in (what you wish to purchase), and if you like to really spend a very long time in the swimming pool for each visit, or if you rather to just go for a short dip each time (investing vs trading).

All the best, and stay safe in such crazy times.

For newbies, start with passive index investing thru ETFs (e.g. S&P ETF) or robo advisors....
