I've actually clocked up about 150,000 miles and was actually looking forward to redeem a business / first class ticket to New York, to realise that actually they're not so readily available! Just had a search and realise that only the advantage tickets are left. I'm actually fine with either a business or first class ticket (first time here), but I have no idea of any tips to get those saver tickets. Do advise!

New York will be almost impossible to get in Saver because the SQ25 route is very popular. Even the non-stop flight to EWR will be difficult unless you're willing to pay Advantage.

You may be able to find flights on Air China, EVA Air and ANA. EVA and ANA in particular have excellent Business Class products- EVA even has designer PJs and vintage champagne!
