Hi Shirley,
I'm sorry to hear of your situation. I can only imagine the pain that you're going through right now.
Your next step should be looking for a family law practitioner and seek advice from there on. I'm not a law practitioner hence I will not be able to advice on this.
However I can only share with you a similar situation that my parents had been through during their divorce proceedings. My mother sought for a family law practitioner to commence with the divorce proceedings, after consultations.
The practitioner will advise you on the documents you will require to prepare in an event where you wish to proceed with the divorce proceedings. Do note that there are 2 different types of divorce proceedings, Contested Divorce and Uncontested Divorce.
Contested Divorce only happens when there's disputes on the decisions and terms of the divorce. This may be quite a lengthy process and may be costly.
Uncontested Divorce is simplified and when both parties agree to the decision of ending their marriage by divorcing.
If you need contacts to assist you in this matter, feel free to reach out to me through any of my social media.
Please don't be afraid to reach out. :)
I hope I helped you in some way.
