Seedly’s expenditure report is by per month, which in my case I find it confusing when my spending can span over to the following month as my pay do not bank in until the middle of the month. Anyone can share they budget for these instances?

Personally, I created my own customised excel sheet that is optimised for my usage. Through this process, it is capable of handling my needs. Here is a downloadable template for your reference: https://www.blog.pzl.sg/understanding-your-pers...
In your case, you may consider doing something similar, e.g. tracking from 15th of the month to 14th of the following month.
Alternatively, you should aim to double your savings within half a year. For this purpose, this is how I do my budget: https://www.blog.pzl.sg/how-to-create-a-monthly...
Thereafter, you should have sufficient surplus to do accounting from the start to end of the month.
Here is everything about me and what I do best.
