How can I start investing in SSB?

Hi,

I have been trying to find out more about Singapore Savings Bonds to have a clearer understanding on it. I have done a little bit of reading and talked to a few friends but I would like to hear more inputs and insights from you.

1) What is the best way to invest in SSB (e.g. One Lump Sum or $500 Monthly)?

2) What are some considerations I need to take note of before putting my money in SSB?

3) How can I start investing in SSB?

It is better to invest all since there is a $2 processing fee for each application. It is whether you need the money for the next 1 month since that is the max leadtime to redeem SSB. Consider the interest rate and if you are satisfied, just go to ibanking for the local bank to apply for it.

Hi, I would suggest to do it in a lump sum due to changes in the bond prices according to the market conditions. However it also depends on your purpose in investing into SSB. What do you wish to achieve?
