My partner and I are in our late 20s and would be getting our First Home (Newly MOP 4 room unit) in the next few months.
We are in a dilemma whether to take up the "First Timer Grant" now, or to keep it for our next house (BTO/Resale) in future. Understand that we would need to repay the loan amount if our next house is a BTO unit.
With our gross income, we are able to cope fairly well with the monthly CPF payments as we are eligible for Proximity grant and HLE.
What are the Pros and Cons?
