Hello Anon :)

I wrote this article about whether _SG United Trainees Should Contribute to CPF _heh.

https://blog.seedly.sg/sgunited-traineeships-cpf/

Called IRAS and CPF to check, SG United Trainees are technically not allowed to apply for any credit cards as the money they receive is an allowance and not considered a salary per se.

But, my colleague did try to call up the banks to check, and they said they might approve it on a case by case basis.

And to quote someone "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take."

You can consider cashback cards like:

DBS LiveFresh

OCBC Frank

UOB One Yolo Card

These cards are popular amongst graduates due to their low minimum spend amounts and decent cashback percentage on offer.

Hope this helps!
