Hi! I recently came across the Vanguard Target Retirement 2040 Fund (VFORX). Has anyone heard about it?

Am keen in it but am not sure if we have any intermediaries or firms offering this product in sg?

Hello! If i am not wrong, VFORX is a mutual fund, rather than a ETF. I think it is only offered on vanguard's own platoform, which is not availbale for Singaporeans.

Sadly, there is currently no financial intermediaries in Singapore that offer products with the same investing strategy. However certain mutual funds consist of a mixed of equities and bonds, depending on the risk profile of the fund. While they do not automatically adjust the allocation based on your age, you can always do a manual fund switch to a more conservative one.

However, these are active funds, unlike VFORX which i think consists of index funds.

Didn't know about VFORX until you asked. Here is the overview from Vanguard website:

https://investor.vanguard.com/mutual-funds/prof...

Notice that they construct a 80% equity 20% fixed income portfolio from 5 underlying Vanguard funds, meaning this is a fund of funds, which means while their TER is 0.14%, there would be additional cost from their underlying TER.

Don't think it is offered in SG.
