Hi, I'm currently working in an IT company.
I find that the work I am assigned to is not aligned with my aspirations and the career progression seems slow.
Would taking online courses on my own and doing side projects be helpful in boosting my employability in future? I am working towards becoming a full stack engineer.
I would appreciate all your advices, thanks!

Hi if you can identify the area in which you are intrested to progress in career and work towards it . You had said you want to be a full stack developer and so I guess you have in mind the skill set that you need to acquire to move in to that area . Taking online courses through sites like Coursera, eDX, Udacity, Udemy, Pluralsight you coul start building your skill set and of course it helps to get certification to show your knowledge and build capability . Just for your reference as a Full Stack Developer you need to work on both client-side and server-side of the software application. This type of developer works on the Full Stack of a software application meaning Front end development, Back end development, Database, Server, API, and version controlling systems. Hence, the name "Full Stack" Developer.
