Senior Financial Services Manager at Phillip Securities (Jurong East)
Hi Henry,
You'll have to use the same fund source to apply for rights. So if your shares were bought with SRS, you can only subscribe to a rights issue via your SRS funds.
This can be an issue if you don't have enough funds to apply. In such a case, consider selling off a part of your holdings and then using the proceeds to apply for the rights, although that is a last resort.
Not applying for the rights will generally dilute your holdings further, so it is in your interest to do so.
