Hi I am currently investing into Nikko AM Singapore STI ETF via POSB Regular Savings Plan with a monthly contribution of $100 per month.

I would like to ask how do i calculate my returns on my STI ETF investments and when are the dividends credited? Also, i have been hearing that its not wise to invest in this for now. Hence, seeking your advise. Thanks.

Hey. When I started my investment journey, I also went for the STI ETF via DBS RSP. I consistently did it for several years before I decided to venture into S&P500.

STI ETF is quite stagnant but it is stable and is dividend paying. When the pandemic hits, my STI ETF remains ”positive” while the rest has plummeted. The dividends are paid twice a year (jan & july) credited directly into my bank account.

I still keep my STI ETF eventhough i stopped DCA-ing into it. Hope this helps.

Perhaps change to Syfe S-REITS with risk management.

If you check their dividend history, they paid dividends in Jan and Jul each year:
