Wow what a question.

Why property?

Because in property it is more, need based or even want based, rather than sales person manipulated convinced basis.

Even if a property is for wealth accumulation and not for own stay purpose, the consumer will have to have an understanding on the three questions before he makes a decision to buy his 1st, 2nd, 3rd or even 100th property.

1) loan eligibility

2) Do you have the downpayment

3) can you afford the monthly installments

After that, any sales person manipulation on which property to purchase is already secondary, because the consumer himself already wants to buy a property and know he can afford it.

In an ideal world I hope to be able to be part of the community that successfully educates almost everyone financially. And so choices made by the people will always be educated ones. I believe that Seedly may very well be that community.

Lastly my Ikigai

I believe that the power of the people is greater than the people in power.

An organisation's goal is always to maximise profits.

this means that if the consumer does not know any better, or if everyone decides to charge a very high price, the conusmer will have no choice but to pay that high price.

This is where an intermediary steps in.

Be it the IFA adviser, the housing agent, the stock broker, the mortgage broker etcetera.

The intermediary is supposed to provide advice and information to the consumer.

However sometimes, they are also led by the need to maximise profits, and thus, may lead the consumer to the party that pays them the most. Again defeating the purpose of a intermediary.

I will create a platform that advocates transparency and is able to negotiate with the sellers for the consumers a fair price.

What the platform will earn will be transparent and fair.

To make sure that what the sellers profit is fair and not over the top, ultimately the platform must have the trust of the consumers. And then with the power provided by the consumers / people, negotiate a win win win solution.

The seller makes a decent profit.

The consumer buys at a decent price.

The broker makes a small sum, but in large numbers still makes a good living.
