For example, company A covers me for 100k and company B covers me for 150k. Would I be able to claim a total of 250k if I get a CI?

Generally, you will be able to claim from both of your policies so long as they meet the definition for claim.
For major stage critical illness, the definition are standardised according to guidelines from Life Insurance Association. Therefore, it will be more straightforward.
For early or intermediate stage, it will depend on the terms set by the insurance company. In other words, just because we mee the conditions for claim from one company doesn't qualify you automatically for claim under the other insurance company.
In any case, so long as the criteria are met, all policies will issue a payout.

Hi Anon,
Yes, you will be able to do that. The terms for CI payout is the moment you are diagnosed, you are entitled to the payout.
