Hello, apologies for the lack of investing nous but I was wondering how much would I have to invest in REITs to make $500/mth in dividends?

For context, I have a REIT+ portfolio with Syfe.

I can tell you first hand that SGD100k can give you 500/month. Do Consider some high yield "fixed deposit/stable" type reits like cromwell reit

Dividend are not fix, but looking at syfe, their average annual dividend is about 5%

So around 120k

Assume Syfe REIT+ maintains 4.5% dividend yield as in 2020. Your capital needs to be:
$500 x 12 / 4....
