General comments seem to suggest that you can't sell the stock, not sure whether that is true

I was able to sell the Apple stock and withdraw the proceeds without issue.
Some may find that they are unable to sell their stock, and this is probably because the stock is still "pending" and yet to be credited. Once you have met all the criteria (I think it's 3 trades currently), the stock will eventually be released to you and you will be able to do whatever you want with it.
